How do I request an extension?

The extension request option will only appear once your deliverable is late. This means that if the deadline is on September 10th, you will need to wait until September 11th to be able to send an extension request. To do so:
Go to the Notifications tab on your left sidebar.
Select the late project you want to request an extension for
You should see a banner with the Request extension button at the top of your screen. You can go ahead and click it.
Client will be notified of your extension request and they will adjust accordingly.

Another way to do it:
Go to your My Projects page
Find the late project you want to request an extension for
There should be a Request extend button. You can go ahead and click it.
Client will be notified of your extension request and they will adjust accordingly.

Note: You should not wait for the option to appear before you notify your client. You will need to message your client and notify them of the reason for your late delivery. It is up to the client if they wish to grant you the extension. If not, you will have to follow through regardless of the current limitations that may cause your late delivery. In the event of a life-threatening emergency, notify us as early as you can.
